The Organizing Committee kindly invites you to take part in the International Baltic Sea Region conference “Functional materials and nanotechnologies” 2008.
FM&NT-2008 is organised by Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia
The conference is organised in co-operation with projects ERANET “MATERA” and National Research programme in Materials Science of Latvia

Scope
The purpose of the conference is to bring together scientists, engineers, and students from universities, research institutes and related industrial companies aware from the field of advanced material science and materials technologies.
Official language: The official language of the Conference is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.

The time for oral presentations (including discussion time) will be limited as follows:
- Invited Lecture: 20 minutes.
- contributed oral presentations: 15 minutes.

The accepted posters will be grouped by topic. The size of the poster is A0 (portrait format). Posters can be fixed with pins that will be available at the poster area.
During the conference will be organized poster competition.

25 min from Opera to Kengaraga str.+ 5 min walking to ISSP (direction to Daugava river)
You can buy the tram ticket in the first wagon, preferable to pay with coins – 50 sant/ticket or, better – you can buy tickets in news-stall (NARVESSEN etc.).- 40 sant/ticket.
Changing the transport, You have to buy a new ticket.
