LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS:
The Summer School will be held at the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) located at Ķengaraga Street 8.
The event starts at 10:00, so we recommend arriving by 9:50. Take the stairs or elevator to the 2nd floor upon arrival.
The most convenient public transportation option on weekends to reach ISSP UL in the Ķengarags neighborhood is tram route No. 7. If coming from the city center, "Nacionālā opera" (National Opera) stop, catch the tram at either 9:05 or 9:18 to arrive on time. Alight at the "Ķengaraga iela" stop, followed by about a 5-minute walk to the institute.
For detailed route planning, we recommend using the public transportation website.
Following the Summer School, you can head to the LUMDETR 2024 conference venue at the University of Latvia Academic Center (the House of Science) on Jelgavas Street 3 for early conference registration. From ISSP UL, take tram No. 7 to the "Autoosta" (Bus station) stop, then walk along the Daugava River to the "13. janvāra iela" bus stop. Board bus route No. 23, which will take you to the conference venue - "LU Akadēmiskais centers". Please note that on weekends, this bus runs infrequently, typically only once or twice per hour.
Alternatively, you can use Bolt mobility services via the mobile. Consider coordinating with fellow participants to book a larger vehicle with 7 passenger seats.
