In this week's workshop three lectures are planned:

  • Dr. phys. Mārtiņš Rutkis  "Ultrafast thermoelectric UV-VIS-IR sensor" (Authors: Dr. phys. M. Rutkis, Dr. phys. K. Pudžs, Dr. phys. A. Vembris, J. Busenbergs)
  • Dr. phys. Aleksejs Kuzmins "The relationship between the local atomic structure of tungstates and molybdates and their thermochromic and magnetic properties has been explained" (Authors: Mg.phys. I. Pudža, Dr. phys. G. Bakradze, Dr. phys. A. Anspoks, Dr. phys. A. Kaļinko, Dr. phys., LZA full member A. Kuzmins).

The works related to the lectures are to be submitted to the Latvian Academy of Sciences by ISSP UL as the most significant achievements in Latvian science of the year.

Additionally, Dr. phys. Aleksejs Kuzmins (due to his unavailability on November 24) will present the achievements and prospects of the EXAFS Spectroscopy Laboratory in the context of the series of 6 workshops organized by Edīte Kalniņa and Andris Šternbergs.
