At the end of July Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) welcomed student delegation from National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) Department of Materials and Optoelectronic Science. During their visit students had the chance to get to know ISSP UL, see our laboratories and attend lectures by our scientists about current research topics.

20 students from Taiwan visited Latvia as a part of an academic exchange program.

NSYSU is one of ISSP UL cooperation partners, and the student visit was an event within this partnership. Government support for academic cooperation is crucial, so ISSP UL team was delighted to welcome Andrew H. C. Lee, Taipei Mission in the Republic of Latvia representative. Mr. Lee greeted the student delegation and thanked NSYSU for active cooperation with ISSP UL. The representative office will continue to help deepen the cooperation between the two countries in academic, scientific research and higher education fields.

NSYSU is one of the higher ranking academic institutions in Taiwan. It was founded in 1980 and consists of 7 colleges, 21 departments and 17 Graduate institutes.
