The Crispy team, winners of the ActInSpace 2022 hackathon in Latvia, has made it into the top five in the Airbus challenge of the international hackathon finals. This is Latvia’s best ever achievement in this hackathon.
“It’s amazing that our students have reached such a high level! This is an extraordinary achievement. It makes Latvia stand out on a global stage and opens up opportunities for further cooperation,” says Diāna Lapkis, council member of the Latvian Space Industry Association and organiser of the ActInSpace 2022 hackathon in Latvia.
She explains that the team worked with mentors before the international hackathon, who helped the students to prepare technically and improve their presentation skills. Lapkis knows that the team has big plans for the future, which includes securing funding and partners to scale and develop the idea internationally.
