A joint effort of seven research organizations from Latvia (Thin Films Laboratory (Juris Purans) and EXAFS Spectroscopy Laboratory (Inga Pudza & Alexei Kuzmin) of the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia), Russia, Germany, Sweden, France and Japan in the field of high-temperature superconductivity in superhydrides at ultrahigh pressures has been recognized by the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility among the most important scientific achievements in 2021.
