LMT in cooperation with the Latvian Employers’ Confederation (LDDK) and Riga Technical University (RTU) has come up with an idea to establish a new science education institution, the STEAM Lyceum. It will serve as an intermediate step between secondary school and university while helping future students to gain in-depth knowledge and professionals to improve their qualifications in already known fields.

The STEAM Lyceum Part A curriculum is planned to support students in grades 10-12 to improve their knowledge in mathematics, chemistry, and physics, while the Part B curriculum will be tailored to the need for lifelong learning and vocational re-training, with courses tailored to industry demand.

It is expected that the curricula will be developed in 2022 and the STEAM Lyceum will start work in 2023.
