An article of EXAFS Spectroscopy laboratory scientists in the high-rank journal Acta Materialia!

Researchers of the EXAFS Spectroscopy Laboratory have published an article in the high-rank journal Acta Materialia (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/acta-materialia) with an impact factor of 8.203!

In the article, G. Bakradze, A. Kalinko, A. Kuzmin, Evidence of dimerization of nickel ions in NiWO₄ and Zn_cNi_1-cWO₄ solid solutions probed by EXAFS spectroscopy and reverse Monte Carlo simulations, Acta Materialia 217 (2021) 117171 (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.actamat.2021.117171), the exchange-coupled nickel(2+) ions, the so-called magnetic dimers, were discovered in antiferromagnetic NiWO₄ and Zn_cNi_1-cWO₄ solid solutions with high nickel content by X-ray absorption spectroscopy combined with reverse Monte Carlo simulations.
