The publishers of the scientific journals Acta Materialia and Scripta Materialia have awarded a certificate of excellence to Dr. phys. Andris Anspoks, a leading scientist in our institute's EXAFS spectroscopy laboratory in recognition of significant contributions made to the quality of the journals by reviewing the scientific articles.
Acta Materialia (IF 7,656) provides a forum for publishing full-length, original papers and commissioned overviews that advance the in-depth understanding of the relationship between the processing, the structure and the properties of inorganic materials. The structure encompasses atomic and molecular arrangements, chemical and electronic structures, and microstructure. Emphasis is on either the mechanical or functional behavior of inorganic solids at all length scales down to nanostructures.
Scripta Materialia (IF 5,079) is a LETTERS journal of Acta Materialia, providing a forum for the rapid publication of short communications on the relationship between the structure and the properties of inorganic materials. The emphasis is on originality rather than incremental research. Emphasis is on either the functional or the mechanical behavior of metals, ceramics and semiconductors at all length scales.
