On the 3rd day of ISSP UL scientific conference, the Scientists' Breakfast, which has already become a tradition, took place, this time online. Theme of the event – history and the beginnings of the Laboratory of Semiconductor Physics Problems (LSPP) told by Dr.phys. Andris Šternbergs using archive materials gathered by Dr. honoris causa Jānis Jansons.
The Scientists’ Breakfast was attended by current and former employees of different generations of the institute, who, after the presentation of A. Šternbergs, shared their memories and thoughts on the formation of LSPP.
The tradition of Scientists' Breakfast at ISSP UL began a year ago for the staff of the institute to meet informally once a month and discuss issues not only related to research, but also any other topical questions related to science and institute, sometimes inviting special guests.
