ActInSpace is a two-day “hackathon” where teams of people from all different backgrounds work together to solve real-life challenges and invent new space solutions together. In a mindset of positive competition, the teams must race against the clock and go as far as possible to design, prototype and deliver concrete results – all before presenting to a distinguished panel of experts.

Taking place 13-14 November, ActInSpace is organised by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the French space agency CNES (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales) – which expect more than 5,000 participants, in over 90 host cities across 50+ countries, for the 2020 edition. As part of its support, Airbus will award prizes for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Registration is now live on the ActInSpace website

On November 13 at 6 pm will be given a start for Latvian participants who want to try their hand at implementing the European Space Agency's data, technologies and patents in new and innovative solutions. During the 24 hours, the participants will be supported by mentors - experts in the fields of information technology, electronics and environmental monitoring, business development specialists and members of the Latvian Space Industry Association. It will also be possible to contact experts abroad.
