On September 22, The Minister of Education and Science of Latvia, Ilga Šuplinska and director of Ministry’s Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Dmitrijs Stepanovs visited the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia.
During the visit, Ms Šuplinska greeted the management of the Institute, got acquainted with the work of the Institute and its latest achievements, saw the clean rooms.
During the Minister’s discussion with the representatives of ISSP UL, Ilga Šuplinska supported the concept of open access laboratories at the national level, talked about the new strategy of the Ministry and pointed out the proposed changes. The importance of further dialogue and cooperation was admitted.
