The University of Genoa (Italy) in cooperation with the Institute of Solid State Physics of the University of Latvia (LU) has submitted a project application to the Horizon2020 program for intelligent coating of interactive robotics and exoskeleton solutions "SestoSenso".

The SestoSenso project aims to give physical intelligence to interactive robots currently used in industrial industry, as well as to exoskeletons. The project envisages the development and testing of a set of sensory solutions that would improve the functionality of currently available interactive robots, increase the safety of exoskeletal users, resulting in a significant expansion of both robotic and exoskeletal applications. The lead partner is the University of Genoa and the list of eight project partners includes science and technology organizations from Latvia, Italy, Spain, France, Slovenia, Sweden and the Netherlands.
