Innovation and technology platform “Labs of Latvia” has published information about our institute and interview with leading researcher and deputy director of innovation Dr.phys. Andris Anspoks about the growth of Institute during the last years.

Since its establishment almost 20 years ago, ISSP UL has had a goal - to become the most important center of excellence in science, education, innovation and technology transfer in the Baltic States.

Andris Anspoks tells about CAMART2 project and achievements thanks to this project - modernization of the institute, development of infrastructure and scientific activities in the various spheres, as well as an expansion in applied science.

The CAMART2 (Excellence Center of Advanced Material Research and Technology Transfer) project started on February 2017. The funding provided by the European Commission for the institute’s development is EUR 15 million. ISSP UL carries out the project in cooperation with Swedish partners from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and RISE Acreo, who are world-class level experts in the field of innovations and technology transfer.
