On November 21, the Grand Medal of Latvian Academy of Sciences was awarded to Academician Bruno Andersons for his significant contribution to the development of wood science and promotion of the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry, and to leading researcher at our institute Academician Linards Skuja for outstanding achievements in the development of optical glass physics and photonics.
The Latvian Academy of Sciences Grand Medal is the highest award given by the Latvian Academy of Sciences for outstanding creative achievements.
