A total of 414 projects were submitted. After the administrative evaluation, 386 project applications were forwarded for scientific evaluation.
A total of 94 project applications have been submitted by public research institutes. The highest number of projects was submitted by the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (24 project applications) ahead of Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Centre (19) and Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis (13).
