The leading researcher of the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia, Kinetic Laboratory of Self-Organized Systems, Dr. phys. Anatoly Popov gave a two-week lecture course Condensed Matter Physics to the 3rd year students at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, K. Zhubanov University (Kazakhstan).

During his visit, the scientific seminar was organized by the Department of Physics. The first pro-rector of the K. Zhubanov University – Kuanyshbek Shunkeyev, professors and undergraduates from the faculty of Physics took part in this seminar. During the seminar, the prospects and principles of the implementation of foreign scientific projects, as well as the reviewing of scientific manuscripts in international journals was discussed.
