Last week, from April 5 to April 6, in the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, University of Latvia, the National Olympiad in Physics took place. National school Olympiads are an essential part of the project "Implementation of National and International Measures for the Development of Talents in Education", created by the National Centre for Education of Republic of Latvia, which allows finding and highlighting outstanding talents at least at the Latvian level.
Professor of University of Latvia and the leading researcher at ISSP UL - Uldis Rogulis - was participating in the awarding ceremony of the State Physics Olympiad. He presented the ISSP UL prepared awards for young talents – four authors with the best experimental work.
Virginia Vītola, doctoral student at the University of Latvia and researcher at Radiation Physics Laboratory of ISSP UL, received a diploma of the progress in preparing students for the Olympiad.
